I had no access to drama at school but found a youth theatre which inspired me forever. This inspires my work through to today.
I pride myself on creating education and young company work that has the same values as my work with professionals,
with the goal of widening access to theatre and creativity.
I have extensive teaching and workshop facilitating experience which feeds directly back into my main practice. I have been fortunate enough to make work with young people at buildings including the Almeida, Birmingham Rep, Central Youth Theatre in Wolverhampton, The Criterion Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, Young Vic, as well as numerous schools and colleges across the UK. Between 2013-2014 I was Director-in Residence at Eton College. I am a regular Visiting Director at CAPA College in Wakefield and a Mentor Director for NT Connections.
I am also Education Associate at The Old Vic, where I have worked across multiple Education programmes, creating work and workshops since 2012. Since 2015, I have directed their Summer School programme and the inaugural Old Vic Theatre Makers course in 2020.
